Handmade in Slovakia

The Marathon Trail was the answer to the emerging natural running (trail) movement of the late 1980s in what was then the Eastern Bloc. For this purpose, an even more absorbent and supportive sole was developed with long-distance runners. The result is the very distinctive "nub" sole used in this model today, which is very popular in the urban environment because of its appearance and comfort.

Found in the Novesta archives, the Marathon Runner is based on a late 80's sprint shoe. The Trail variant is indeed a new development.
